Announcing the launch of the ASEAN suite of flagship Country Starter Packs

Brisbane, 7 March 2018 – In the lead-up to the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit (16-18 March, Sydney) - the first time Australia has hosted a Summit with ASEAN leaders in Australia - Australian businesses can now access a comprehensive resource to understand, tap into and boost their links with booming markets throughout Southeast Asia.

Launched at a business forum in Brisbane featuring an address by the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, the Hon Steven Ciobo MP, the ASEAN Country Starter Packs are a practical and accessible 'how-to' guide that empowers businesses of all sizes to get started or expand into ASEAN.

Asialink Business CEO Mukund Narayanamurti says:

“The ASEAN-Australia Special Summit is just around the corner. Australian businesses of all sizes that are looking to diversify and grow are excited about the dynamic possibilities in Southeast Asia.

“ASEAN is becoming a common market with distinct country strengths.

"The ASEAN Country Starter Packs help businesses to embrace this complexity and take a deep-dive into the opportunities – They provide a roadmap to understand the needs of ASEAN’s growing consumer classes, as well as how to navigate different business environments, regulations and cultures.”

Featuring practical case studies, up-to-date market insights and first-hand industry perspectives, the guides have been developed with support from the Australian Government. They will be showcased at the SME Conference, an important lead-in event of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit.
